There is only one candidate that can stop Tinubu’s swearing in – Galadima
The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) leader and a steadfast ally of President Muhammadu Buhari, Buba Galadima, asserts that Rabiu Kwankwaso is the only candidate who can stop Bola Tinubu from taking office as the nation’s next leader on May 29.
Contrary to popular belief, which holds that only Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi is capable of blocking Tinubu’s inauguration, Galadima asserted in an interview with Arise that Kwankwaso’s victory would be void if he successfully challenged Tinubu’s election in court.
Additionally, he asserted that many people who intended to support Rabiu Kwankwaso in the most recent election decided against doing so because it was difficult to recognize his party’s logo because it had been destroyed.
Many people then went home as a result. Galadima added that this was the reason that, as opposed to the usual over 30 million, only 20 million voters actually cast ballots.
According to Galadima, the swearing-in of Bola Tinubu would be delayed more than May 29 if Kwankwaso pursues these allegations in court.
He said, “There is only one candidate who can stop the swearing-in of Tinubu on May 29 and it is not Obi. The reason is because some of those who voted in the ballot did not see the name NNPP in the ballot, that is enough to cancel that logo. Our logo was defaced, it was not recognisable and we couldn’t identify clearly what that logo was.”
