The service of songs and wake keep has been held in honour of late Chief Benjamin Jibowe Oheri at his Lagos residence located at No 13 Habib street, Agric estate in Ojo local government area of Lagos State on April 1st 2021
Pastor Eric Agu, noted that the time is running so fast and a lot of things are changing, stressing that, strange things happening now give concern and worrisome and cited the example of “Boko Haram and Bandits terrorising every nooks and crannies of the World is a testimony to the fact that,”Salvation” is the key thing now because the time Jesus Christ spoke about are happening now is an indication of “End time” approaching.
The officiating minister from the Christ Goodnews Evangelical Mission, Pastor Eric Agu, while conducting the service of songs, he themed his message “Now is the time of your salvation” while citing the book of Mathew 24 verse 1–7 to butress his message.
He urged everyone to be dedicated and committed to the service of God.
“Therefore let us serve God Almighty in spirit and truth and do the will of God, so that the wrath of God will not be for us”, he noted.
The late Chief Oheri has been described as a detribalised leader who hate cheating and who does not put his intergrity at stake because he believes in the truth and nothing else.
Others, while describing him as a selfless leader, had also noted that his magnanimity and leadership qualities led to the retrievement of the land belonging to the IDU, Lagos branch, some years back and today, the land is gradually been developed by IDU, Lagos is a testimony of his good relationship with people around him.
The newly elected IDU president, Lagos branch, Dr. Dan Ekere led his executive, including the women’s wing to the occasion.
The chairman of the Urhobo/Isoko traditional council of chiefs forum, Lagos, High Chief Peter Onojake led other notable chiefs to ceremony.
