Fani-Kayode, Dino Melaye, two others feature in a new movie series

Fani-Kayode (a prominent Nigerian politician, essayist, poet and lawyer), Senator Dino Melaye (Nigerian politician, a Senator of the 9th National Assembly, representing Kogi West Senatorial district), Governor Chukwuemeka Ezeife (former Governor of Anambra state) and Chief Dan Iwuanyawu (Nigerian politician and renowned businessman, considered one of the richest men in Nigeria) are to make an appearance in the series titled “Silent Prejudice”.

David Oluwafemi Adewunmi Abdulateef Fani-Kayode has taken to his Facebook page to announce that he has made his Nollywood debut in a series titled “Silent Prejudice”.

Fani-Kayode – a former Minister of Culture and Tourism as well as a Minister of Aviation, said he joined Nollywood greats like Larry Koldsweat, Obi Idejimba and T.T. Temple on set the previous week where they spent hours filming.

He went on to disclose that being a “thespian is no mean feat” as “many do not know just how hard actors work and the energy and discipline that goes into their craft.”

Admitting that acting “requires total dedication and focus,” he says his respect for actors has increased following his recent experience.

“Silent Prejudice” is produced by Chris Oge Kalu and is about the evils associated with the Osu cast system.

The first season of the series airs on AIT on Wednesdays at 9.00pm while the second season that stars Fani-Kayode alongside the other politicians will soon be aired.

The series is backed by the Nigerian Human Rights Commission.
